Colour: Black with hints of brown (could I possibly be an unusually shaded tortie?)

History: Berty was owned by an elderly couple 14 years ago (presumably they had him as a kitten). At some point the owners passed away and berty was left homeless. Without anyone to look after him he became very matted. A nice couple took him in and took him to the vets to be shaved and neutered. Then they became unable to look after him so he started spending longer and longer outside until he was officially a stray (and he became severely matted and pelted again). He was being fed at different homes and one of his feeders contacted us to find him a permanent home to spend his golden years.

Medical: Berty has had bad skin due to severe matting and pelting. His skin is healing nicely but he will need brushing regularly to avoid matting in the future. He recently had a dental and his teeth aren’t in too bad of a condition for an older gent (he had 2 teeth removed).

Character: I love cuddles on my own terms. Once I’ve had enough love I will let you know with a growl or a nibble . I enjoy being brushed too which is good because my new owner will need to brush me regularly to prevent the matts coming back. I’m not a fan of being touched on my belly and I’m not a very playful cat. All I want is a nice warm home to spend my remaining years and possibly some kind of buffet to help me onto the sofa . My foster also thinks I might be going deaf but I think she’s being ageist.

Can I live with other cats? Yes but preferably less playful cats that will leave me alone.

Can I live with other dogs? No

Can I live with children? Older children (16+)
