My name is Sparta and I need my new home

Gender: Female

DOB: Sparta is approx 10 years old

Colour: White and black

History: Sparta is a senior cat who has come back into rescue after becoming unhappy and unsettled in her long term home

Needs: Sparta has had issues with a flea allergy, which led to skin issues and losing her fur, but with treatment this is now under control. She will need someone who is very diligent with her flea treatments to keep on top of it. She is also very food orientated and can gorge on her food, leading her to overeat and vomit, so she needs her feeds carefully monitored with door feeders etc.

Character: Sparta is a very loving, sociable cat who loves attention. Her foster mum has found that using slow feeding bowls, angled bowls, and puzzle mats are the best ways to deal with her food obsession. Her food must be stored where she can not get to it, to ensure she doesn’t steal it, as she is very cheeky and will find a way to open it if left unattended. She happily uses a litter tray. She can overgroom herself, which could stem from her skin issues, but she is easily distracted away from it. Sparta can be quite chatty in the mornings whilst waiting for her breakfast to be prepared. She loves to have company and purrs loudly to show her appreciation when she’s being fussed over.
