Volunteering For Heronbank

Become a Heronbank Volunteer:

At Heronbank, our volunteers are truly the heart of everything we do. We have no paid staff, so every act of support makes a real difference to the cats in our care. If you have a love of cats and enjoy working with people, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team.

While we especially need volunteers who can drive or have access to a vehicle, but we also have a variety of other none driving roles available too.

Roles We Need Help With:

• Routine and emergency vet runs
• Trapping and transporting strays or feral cats
• Delivering food and supplies to foster homes
• Carrying out home checks (full training provided)
• Fundraising activities
• Galas, fayres and community events
• Car boot sales
• General support wherever it’s needed

Areas we cover:

• Huddersfield
• Batley
• Halifax
• Wakefield and surrounding villages

If your town isn’t listed, don’t worry, our unit is based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, and we welcome volunteers from anywhere within a reasonable travelling distance. If you’re close enough to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
